One of the most common problem in some popular Nokia phones includes charging port related issues. If you are the owner of Nokia 6.1 Plus or 5.1 Plus then chances are high that you might have suffered from this issue. From last 1 year we have been hearing about these issues from all over the world but HMD never accepted it as a manufacturing defect. Now after a long time finally HMD has accepted this issue. As a result now company is providing extended 6 months warranty which includes one-time free-of-cost repair for select Nokia phones if you’re facing charging port issues. These select Nokia phones includes Nokia 8.1, 7.1, 6.1 Plus & 5.1 Plus.
This news started popping up on the internet after a user posted about the same on Nokia phones community :
HMD, as goodwill to consumers, offers a one-time, free-of-cost repair of select Nokia devices identified to have charging section issues.
The free-of-cost repair is applicable to the following sales models only. A device whose 12-months warranty has recently ended is eligible for the free-of-cost repair, up to a maximum of 6 months after the warranty has lapsed.
– Nokia 5.1 Plus, Nokia 6.1 Plus, Nokia 7.1 & Nokia 8.1

Is this news authentic ?
Yes, after having a short conversation with Nokia Mobile support team through a phone call we can confirm this news for customers in India. (That’s why it took us a little time to publish this news). This was first covered by Techmesto.com & as per their report the above mentioned circular is currently sent to Nokia Mobile Care Centre in Bangladesh.
So, if you’re a resident of India or Bangladesh and having charging port issues in your Nokia 6.1 Plus or other (already mentioned in this article) Nokia phone then just go to nearest Nokia Mobile Care Centre. You will get one-time free-of-cost repair if your device isn’t older than one & half year. For users outside India and Bangladesh we recommend you to be in touch with your nearest Nokia Mobile Care to confirm this news.
We think this a very good decision taken by HMD Global (Better late than never).

Today, I went to the beach front with my kids.
I found a sea shell and gave it to my 4 year old daughter and
said “You can hear the ocean if you put this to your ear.” She
put the shell to her ear and screamed. There was a hermit crab inside and it pinched her ear.
She never wants to go back! LoL I know this is totally off topic but I had to tell someone!
