The global feature phones market share is now out for the Q2 2019 & Nokia was the 2nd largest feature phones maker with 14% market share. In Q1 2019 Nokia was the no.1 feature phones brand globally but this time iTel has captured that spot with 16% market share. Counterpoint Research has shared the above results. According to their analysis, during Q2 2019 the overall feature phones shipments reached to 86 million units globally. We can roughly estimate that with 14% market share more than 12 million Nokia feature phones were shipped. Check out the data below for more detailed analysis :
Counterpoint Research has also shared the regional feature phones market share for the same quarter & Nokia did very well in the markets like Europe & Asia.
In India, Nokia was the 5th largest feature phone brand with 9% market share. We really think that HMD needs a different strategy for Indian market so they can regain the lost market share. Take a look at the regional market share below :
While in the Rest of Asia & Europe Nokia was the no.1 feature phones brand with 25% market share. If we talk about the North America then the Nokia brand captured 2nd spot with 11% market share.
In MEA region Nokia brand has maintained its 3rd spot with 13% market share. HMD needs to work hard in the regions like LATAM where Nokia brand is still missing.
