We all know that Nokia 9 PureView comes with In-display fingerprint scanner but it looks like HMD Global was also testing this flagship smartphone with fingerprint scanner on the back. The world’s first smartphone with 5 rear cameras, Nokia 9 PureView was unveiled officially at the MWC 2019 in Barcelona. Since then it is selling worldwide but this flagship smartphone only comes in midnight blue color variant.
Now, Hikari Calyx (Nokia & Microsoft community member) has shared some interesting pictures on his Twitter handle which shows prototype of the Nokia 9 PureView with fingerprint scanner mounted on the back. Also the device is in Black+Copper color combination. Nokia branding is missing there but just look at the pictures mentioned in the below tweet. I’m sure you’ll immediately get that this is the Nokia 9 PureView :
There is a sticker in the first image which has clearly mentioned “Nokia TA-1087” which is one of the 3 model numbers of 9 PureView. It’s good to see that HMD decided to go with In-display fingerprint scanner at the final stage. Having mentioned sensor at the backside is good for budget phones by which companies can make the device available at affordable prices. But that’s not something we expect from a flagship smartphone. Let’s wait for the announcement of Nokia 9.3 PureView which is currently rumored to happen this year.
Stay safe & stay tuned for more updates 🙂
