Yesterday (Dec 3), HMD’s CPO Juho Sarvikas has officially made an announcement that upcoming 5G Nokia smartphone will come with the Snapdragon 765 SoC. He was talking at the Qualcomm Snapdragon Tech Summit 2019. At this event Sarvikas said, with the Snapdragon 765 processor they will deliver an affordable next generation 5G Nokia smartphone with the premium 5G worthy experiences :
..we have taken a holistic approach to 5G. First of all with the Qualcomm Snapdragon 765 we will deliver an affordable next generation 5G mobile phone yet delivering on premium 5G experiences. Secondly we’ll fully support today’s non stand-alone infrastructure, tomorrow’s stand-alone infrastructure and dynamic spectrum sharing. That means as the networks evolve your Nokia phone will be able to fully capitalize on the latest features making your Nokia phone future proof.
While talking about the specs & features of upcoming 5G Nokia smartphone Sarvikas has confirmed that the device will come with the Snapdragon 765 processor, Nokia PureDisplay & Zeiss Optics for the primary cameras. In addition to this the device will be capable to record UHD 4K Ultra Wide-Angle video. In the headline photo you can see a circular primary camera design (hidden) similar to Nokia 7.2/6.2.
